AD Motor Claims Handler
Summary
To deal with all aspects of first party claims within agreed quality and service standard up to the specified handling authority limit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage individual first party claims to a successful conclusion
 - Negotiate settlement of claims in a proactive & cost effective manner
 - Provide A class claims service to both first and third parties.
 - Monitor individual claims on a daily basis, controlling the overall claims costs
 - Intervene on individual claims in order to keep claims cost to a minimum, this will include intervening & providing claimants with a replacement hire vehicle via our panel supplier
 - Attend relevant market forums
 - Contribute to plans for managing all aspects of claims issues that arise from time to time
 - Be aware of market developments regarding credit hire, credit repair and third party damage claim management
 - Ensure awareness of TCF and how customers are managed
 - Ensure awareness and understanding of financial crime
 - Cover additional duties as and when required
 
Knowledge and Experience:
Previous experience of dealing with 1st party damage claims
Skills / Personal Qualities:
- Educated to GCSE level and will be CII qualified or looking to obtain the qualification
 - A reasonable understanding of the RTA and article 75 status
 - A basic understanding of the civil procedures rules
 - Excellent communication skills: written and oral
 - Knowledge of Windows based systems
 - Good Data input skills
 - Excellent time management
 - Ability to work alone and as part of a team
 - Friendly personality
 - Good team ethic
